GEORGIA 2000 NEWSLETTERUGA Office of Information Technology Outreach Services. June 6, 2003.Dear Georgia 2000 user, The Georgia 2000 Information System (http://www.georgia2000.org) is making an exciting new addition to its interactive Map-based Reporting: the Query tool. The Query tool will allow you to identify specific locations based on the values you are looking for, and draw them on the map. For example, the Query tool would allow you to answer questions such as these: How many manufacturers have fewer than 2 employees? Where are healthcare facilities with at least 1 MRI unit? The Query tool requires the latest version of the Mapguide Viewer. Go to the Technical Requirements page to see if you need to download and install the viewer. (If you're not asked to download the viewer, then you've already got the latest version.) http://www.georgia2000.org/more_info/technical_requirements.asp The Query tool will be added to Georgia 2000 by the end of this week. For the time being, we have a very limited list of geographies that you will be able to query. If you have any suggestions for improving the query tool, including other geographies that you would like to query, just drop us a note!
